Adhesive mats are far more than just a practical addition to entry and transition zones. In many industries, they play a vital role in meeting strict hygiene, quality, and safety standards. When selected correctly and used systematically, sticky mats limit the transfer of debris, support contamination control, and help maintain a safe working environment. They represent a simple yet highly effective preventative measure.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It focuses on consistent product quality, process management, and continuous improvement. For the customer, ISO 9001 certification is a guarantee that the production of adhesive mats is controlled, consistent, and quality-driven.
ISO 13485 is the quality management standard specifically for medical devices. For adhesive mats, this is crucial for applications in healthcare, laboratories, and cleanrooms. It confirms that both the manufacturing process and documentation meet rigorous safety, hygiene, and traceability requirements.
This international standard specifies requirements for an Environmental Management System (EMS). Compliance helps organizations of all sizes reduce their negative impact on the environment, prevent pollution, and ensure legislative compliance. It also enhances credibility with customers and potential investors.
Our adhesive mats are CE-marked Class I medical devices in accordance with the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745) and are registered in the European Database on Medical Devices (EUDAMED). This confirms their compliance with the applicable EU regulatory requirements for medical devices and supports transparency and traceability throughout the European market.
These classes are based on the ISO 14644-1 standard, which defines maximum allowable particle concentrations in cleanrooms:
In both ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanrooms, controlling contamination introduced by personnel and material movement is an important part of an effective contamination-control strategy. Adhesive mats provide a highly effective method of controlling footborne contamination by capturing particles from footwear and trolley wheels before they enter cleaner areas. Positioned at entrances and transition zones, sticky mats therefore provide an important additional barrier against the transfer of particulate contamination.

ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 are essential for hygienic conditions in laboratories, hospitals, and cleanrooms. For cleanroom environments, our mats meet ISO 7 and ISO 8 standards and carry the CE mark.
In an ISO 7 environment, there is a much higher emphasis on particle control; therefore, mats are used more frequently with stricter maintenance protocols. ISO 8 allows for a higher concentration of particles, but mats still serve as a vital entry barrier.
There is no fixed interval, but we recommend at least once per day. Layers must be changed as soon as the top sheet loses stickiness or becomes visibly soiled to maintain effectiveness.
They are most frequently used in healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceuticals, food processing, cleanrooms, and industrial facilities with high hygiene requirements.
